Dave Creek is the author of the novels, SOME DISTANT SHORE and CHANDA’S AWAKENING, and the short story collections A GLIMPSE OF SPLENDOR and THE HUMAN EQUATIONS.


He's also published the Great Human War trilogy:  the novellas A CROWD OF STARS (winner of the Imadjinn Award for best SF novel) and THE FALLEN SUN, along with the novel THE UNMOVING STARS.


His short stories have appeared in ANALOG SCIENCE FICTION AND FACT, APEX, and the anthologies FAR ORBIT APOGEE, TOUCHING THE FACE OF THE COSMOS, and DYSTOPIAN EXPRESS.


Dave has also published a new edition of THE WAR OF THE WORLDS by H.G. Wells, which includes his short story sequel, "The Adventure of the Martian Cylinder," in which Wells meets Sherlock Holmes.  The volume also features Dave's commentary on the book.


Dave formerly worked in TV news, most notably at WHAS-TV and WDRB-TV in Louisville, Ky.  He’s the recipient (in collaboration with others) of first-place Louisville Metro Journalism Awards from the Society of Professional Journalists in the categories of best website and breaking news.  He retired in 2013.


Dave lives in Louisville with his wife Dana, Corgi/Jack Russell Terrier mix Ziggy Stardog, and polydactyl cat Hemmie.
