A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

THE SILENT SENTINELS was quite a challenge, as it involved following two lead characters separated by six centuries.  That meant alternating viewpoints between the Oldavarian Janir Semler and the human Ethan Sun.

My goal was that seeing Janir’s efforts to save the Oldavarian people’s lives and civilization would make a suspenseful contrast to Ethan’s efforts six centuries later to discover what legacy, if any, Janier had left behind.
